Melissa Sanford, Founder and Host
Welcome to our official website. I’m Melissa Sanford, a technology executive specializing in cybersecurity, AI, and emerging tech innovation. I am a proud U.S. Navy veteran with over a dozen medals and ribbons for my honorable service. After returning from a war overseas, I acclimated back to life in Washington, D.C. I was selected as a Congressional Aide at NNMC, Bethesda. Known as the President’s hospital, I escorted members of Congress to their designated appointments. With my polished presence, complete with all my military hardware, I also had the opportunity to assist Supreme Court Justices throughout our facility, including Sandra Day O’Connor, Thurgood Marshall, and Clarence Thomas. My most memorable moments were with Congressman Sonny Montgomery, Congresswoman Patricia Schroeder, Cardiss Collins, and Constance Morella. My most embarrassing moments involved having to run in heels to keep up with the then-Speaker of the House, Tom Foley.
I was recruited to launch the historic iPhone in 2009. It was an incredible experience for me, as I had a blank slate to lead like an entrepreneur and apply my creative thinking. I have helped hundreds of clients across various industries. After a great run at Apple, I pivoted into cybersecurity, engaging in incident response and assisting clients through data breaches. I have continued to elevate my career while doing meaningful work.
Beyond my corporate success, I am the founder and host of the Tech Exec Wellness Podcast, a global leadership platform that achieved 349% growth in its first year. Connecting high-performing leaders, I highlight their resilience, innovation, and transformative leadership stories. I am passionate about employee well-being, believing that organizations can implement wellness practices while generating revenue success.
